Slide Archive Downloads

Direct access to the laboratory’s whole-slide image collections — browse the archive and download original slide files at full speed.

  1. Sign in

Use your Digital Slide Archive username and password. If your account has two-factor authentication, you’ll be asked for your 6-digit code.

  2. Find your slides

Open a collection and click through its folders. Filter by name or sort by size and date to narrow a long list.

  3. Download

Click Download next to a file and your browser saves it. Interrupted downloads can be resumed.

Your DSA account

Sign in with the same username and password you use for the Digital Slide Archive. If your account has two-factor authentication, you’ll be asked for your 6-digit code. There is no separate account to create.

Large files, handled properly

Whole-slide images typically run 1–2 GB each, and some are much larger. Downloads resume if interrupted, so a dropped connection won’t cost you the whole file. For many slides at once, a download manager is worth using.

Viewing vs. downloading

To pan, zoom, and annotate a slide in your browser, use the Digital Slide Archive. This site is for getting the original file onto your own computer. Full instructions are on the help page.
